2 Months Old!!

Eli will be two months old on Tuesday! I can't believe how fast the time is going by. He is holding his head really well now and smiles and coos a lot. He is also following people across the room with his eyes really well. We went to the doctor Friday for his two month check up and shots (ouch!) He now weighs 12 lbs, 13 oz and is 22.6 inches long. He has been very fussy in the evenings and when I described what has been going on to the doctor she said that it sounds like baby colic. For Eli, eating seems to help make it better, but sometimes nothing helps and he just cries until he wears himself out and falls asleep. I haven't been able to just put him down and let him cry it out. I keep on trying different things to see if it will help. I am looking forward to the passing of the colic. I was very worried that the shots were going to make him even more fussy Friday evening during the football game, as the week before this he cried the ENTIRE GAME. But, he slept from about 5 pm until we saw daddy after the game around 10. The only downside to that is that he was ready to be awake a lot earlier than Momma on Saturday.

In other news, the football team is doing really, really well. They went 9-1 and won their district championship. The first playoff game is this Friday, 11/14 in Hutto at 7:30. They play Halletsville. I'm not sure if I spelled that right....Anyway, everyone should come out and cheer on the Rogers Eagles if you can. For our friends in the Austin area, this is really close!

We are moving! We found a two bedroom apartment to rent in the south side of Temple. It is approximately 14 miles from Rogers, so it will be a much better commute. Kent is definitely tired of the hour drive. We are signing a 7 month lease so we can make it through the end of the school year and then decide what to do next....keep renting the apartment, rent a house, buy a house. We are placing many of our belongings in a storage unit for the time being. We are sad to have to go from our first house back to apartment living, especially right in time for the holidays, but hopefully it will be temporary until we figure something else out.
