Thursday night bathtime fun

Jackie, Eli and Momma

6 month checkup!

Eli had his six month check-up on Monday. He weighs 19 pounds and 12 ounces and is 26 1/2 inches long! I'm sure by the end of the week it will be the full 20 pounds!! He is doing very good. Still not crawling, but sure knows how to get around by rolling around. He is continuing to try more and more foods. He is finally eating his green veggies. He likes them COLD. Not room temperature, but cold right out of the fridge! He eats everything else room temperature. He LOVES bananas! He is pretty much sleeping through the night now. (This is a recent development, so that can change!) He can make it about 9 hours at night between bottles, so we sort of wake him up before we go to bed and offer him a bottle. I know that we will need to stop doing this eventually and he will make it from dinner to breakfast like we do.

We need to get him his big boy carseat as he is starting to hang out of his baby one. He only has two more pounds in this one anyway, so we are going to try to get it this weekend.

We are enjoying our spring break very much! We are going back to Cedar Park tomorrrow morning. Daddy is going fishing with a friend and Momma and Eli are going to hang out with Granny on Friday!

We are going to try to make it to the track meet this afternoon. I hope we can find McGregor, TX on our own!

I'll try to post some pictures before we go back to work next week.

Naked Baby! Trying out some delicious food!

Hey everyone, I love this thing!

See my pearly whites?

Almost a half a year!

Our baby boy will be SIX months old this Wednesday!! I can hardly believe how big he has gotten. He is wearing 12 month clothes now and is sitting up completely by himself. He has two teeth, but we think he may be working on one or two more. He still hasn't figured out the crawling. He gets up on all fours and rocks back and forth a few times before moving....backwards! It is pretty funny to watch him. He's so proud of himself and loves when we say "Yay, Eli!!!" We've been taking our pup-pup, Jackie for a walk every afternoon now that the weather is warmer. Sometimes Eli takes a little nap when we walk and sometimes he watches that dog! His entire face lights up when Jackie walks into the room. He laughs at any little thing she does, like for example, sneeze! He has eaten and LOVED rice cereal, oatmeal, carrots and sweet potatoes. He HATES green beans! He's tried them over and over and will gag and spit them out. We are going to try peas next, so hopefully he'll like at least one GREEN vegetable. Eli's six month dr. appointment is during spring break, and I always love to see how much he has grown. I'll post an update then.

We've been pretty good. I am counting down the time left in this apartment! I HATE living in an apartment. We need to start looking for a house to rent soon and I can't wait until we find something!! Spring break starts in a week so that will be nice to spend some time together and just relax. Track season started and Kent is having a lot of fun with that. We are going to the meet next week in Academy, so that will be Eli's first track meet. He's been to plenty of football games, a couple basketball games and I think we are going to try to make it to a baseball game this weekend. He likes all the action! I am starting to get nervous as TAKS is coming up and we've been over and over all this stuff in class, so lets hope these kids pass, and maybe even get a few commended. Oh, and I'm studying for another certification test so lets hope I pass! If I do, I'll be able to teach any subject, grades 4-8. I'd love to get back to middle school soon or even try upper elementary.

Well, that's enough about us! Email me a line or comment on the blog to let me know how YOU are doing!!
