2 Weeks

Eli turned 2 weeks old yesterday! He is such a sweet baby. He sleeps really good when he sleeps and he is very alert when he is awake! He had his 2 week check-up yesterday and he is now 9 lbs, 10 ounces. He is such a good eater, I had no doubt that he had gained weight. I am finally starting to feel back to normal. We are ready to get out a little more and excited for our first football game next Friday. Enjoy the new pictures!

Eli Brody Walker
Born 9/11/08 at 7:25 pm
8 pounds, 14 ounces
21 inches long

Eli is here!

He has finally arrived! I went into the hospital Wednesday night around 9:00 because I thought my water had broken. They tested it but wanted me to walk around for an hour and test again to be sure. It was amniotic fluid, so I was admitted. I spent the night and the nurses came in to monitor me and Eli all through the night. I was having contractions about 4-5 minutes apart but they weren't real strong. The doctor came in early in the morning and decided to start pitocin to get my contractions going stronger. I had my epidural around 11:30 that was the best thing ever!! I couldn't feel my legs. It was the weirdest feeling. Anyway, my contractions got stronger and more painful throughout the day and I had to ask for more medicine once I couldn't stand the pain. Around 6:30, I pushed for an hour and Eli was born at 7:25 pm on September 11. He is just PERFECT!! We were released from the hospital on Sunday morning and I was so happy to be home with him. We are getting into somewhat of a routine. Mom is learning to get by on NO sleep! I love watching his facial expressions whether he is asleep or awake. I am posting a few pictures of Eli and I will post more as I have them!

Still no Eli

Well, my due date has come and gone and baby Eli is still not here! I went to the doctor today and we scheduled an induction for next Monday, 9/15. If he comes this week, it would be better, but at some point we have to induce. I'm getting frustrated that my body is not doing what it's supposed to do, but I know that he'll come when he's ready......or be evicted next Monday!

School is still going good, except that EVERYONE asks me EVERY DAY why I'm still there!! Well, I'm going to work until he's born. I want as much time off with Eli as I can. I know people are just trying to be nice and sympathize with me, but I'm so frustrated that I don't have my baby right now! My kids are great. They pretty much do what they're asked and only complain a little. What high school kid doesn't? I've been trying to get ahead so that the person taking over my classes knows what's going on when I leave!

I missed the second football game against Coleman, because it would have been too far for me if I had gone into labor. It was a sad loss, but I think that they will work harder and win! I did make it over to half of Round Rock's game Friday night, but sadly they lost too. I'm not sure if I'll make it to this Friday's homecoming game in Rogers...If I'm still feeling good, I'll be there.

I will update when Eli gets here and I have some pictures to share.
