Our baby boy will be SIX months old this Wednesday!! I can hardly believe how big he has gotten. He is wearing 12 month clothes now and is sitting up completely by himself. He has two teeth, but we think he may be working on one or two more. He still hasn't figured out the crawling. He gets up on all fours and rocks back and forth a few times before moving....backwards! It is pretty funny to watch him. He's so proud of himself and loves when we say "
Yay, Eli!!!" We've been taking our pup-pup, Jackie for a walk every afternoon now that the weather is warmer. Sometimes Eli takes a little nap when we walk and sometimes he watches that dog! His entire face lights up when Jackie walks into the room. He laughs at any little thing she does, like for example, sneeze! He has eaten and LOVED rice cereal, oatmeal, carrots and sweet potatoes. He HATES green beans! He's tried them over and over and will gag and spit them out. We are going to try peas next, so hopefully he'll like at least one GREEN vegetable. Eli's six month
dr. appointment is during spring break, and I always love to see how much he has grown. I'll post an update then.
We've been pretty good. I am counting down the time left in this apartment! I HATE living in an apartment. We need to start looking for a house to rent soon and I can't wait until we find something!! Spring break starts in a week so that will be nice to spend some time together and just relax. Track season started and Kent is having a lot of fun with that. We are going to the meet next week in Academy, so that will be Eli's first track meet. He's been to plenty of football games, a couple basketball games and I think we are going to try to make it to a baseball game this weekend. He likes all the action! I am starting to get nervous as
TAKS is coming up and we've been over and over all this stuff in class, so lets hope these kids pass, and maybe even get a few commended. Oh, and I'm studying for another certification test so lets hope I pass! If I do, I'll be able to teach any subject, grades 4-8. I'd love to get back to middle school soon or even try upper elementary.
Well, that's enough about us! Email me a line or comment on the blog to let me know how YOU are doing!!
